Your gift to the Foundation for Folsom Cordova Schools may go even further through your employer’s matching gift program.

Many companies offer charitable giving programs that match donations made by employees, retirees, or employee spouses. Some employers also provide volunteer grants when employees donate their time to a nonprofit organization.

By taking a few extra steps, you may be able to increase the impact of your support for FCUSD students, educators, and schools — at no additional cost to you.

What Are Matching Gifts?

Matching gifts are donations made by companies to eligible nonprofit organizations after an employee makes their own charitable contribution.

For example, if you donate $100 to the Foundation and your employer offers a 1:1 match, your company may also contribute $100, doubling your total impact. Some companies match at higher levels, and others may also match gifts made by retirees or spouses.

How to Request a Matching Gift

To find out whether your donation is eligible for an employer match, follow these steps:

1. Check with your employer
Visit your company’s employee giving portal or contact your human resources, payroll, or community giving department.

2. Search for the Foundation
Look for the Foundation for Folsom Cordova Schools in your employer’s matching gift system. If it is not listed, you may be able to add the Foundation as a new nonprofit recipient.

3. Submit your request
Complete your employer’s matching gift form and include any required donation information.

4. Let us know
If your employer needs verification or additional information, please contact us so we can assist with the process.
